This is a moist chocolate cake that can be made in under 45 minutes with a simple one-bowl method. It's rich, chocolatey, and not too sweet, making it a delightful treat for any occasion.

1: Preheat your oven to 350F and line an 8x8” square baking pan. 2: In a large bowl, whisk together all the dry ingredients. 3: Add all the wet ingredients to the bowl except for the hot water/coffee. Whisk until just combined. 4: Pour in the hot water/coffee. Whisk until the batter is smooth. 5: Pour the batter into your lined baking pan and gently tap the pan a few times against the counter to release any air bubbles. 6: Bake for 28-30 mins or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. 7: To make the frosting: In a small pot over medium heat, melt 70g of butter. Add the cocoa powder and whisk until smooth. Do not let it boil. Take the pot off of the heat and sift in the powdered sugar. Give it a whisk (it will be very thick and clumpy) then add the vanilla extract and milk. 8: Once the cake has cooled, add the frosting.
