Beef Lo Mein

A homemade beef lo mein that tastes like takeout but better, with more veggies and protein. This quick and easy dish includes flank steak marinated with soy sauce and ginger, cooked with lo mein noodles, garlic, and various vegetables for a delicious meal.

What you need
tsp cornstarch

tsp soy sauce

tsp orange oil

tsp baking soda

tbsp light soy sauce

tbsp oyster sauce

tsp dark soy sauce

tsp sesame oil

tsp salt

tsp sugar

tsp white pepper
lb lo mein noodles

clove garlic

tsp ginger

carrot

cup napa cabbage

red onion

cup mung bean sprouts

scallion

tbsp shaoxing wine

orange oil
Instructions
1: Slice beef into thin strips against the grain. Mix the beef marinade ingredients and place beef into marinate. Let sit for 30 minutes. 2: Prep veggies, and lo mein sauce. Set aside. 3: If using cooked noodles, rinse under tap water to loosen and set aside. If uncooked, follow package instructions and then drain and set aside. 4: Heat wok over high heat until lightly smoking. Add oil and sear all sides of the beef. Remove beef from wok. 5: Add more oil, along with garlic, ginger, carrots. Stir fry for 30 seconds. 6: Add onion, Napa cabbage, and white part of scallions. Stir fry for another 30 seconds. 7: Pour shaoxing wine around perimeter of wok. Add noodles and toss everything together. Once noodles are warmed up, add the sauce mixture. 8: Continue stir frying until sauce is evenly distributed. Then add bean sprouts and beef. Stir fry again. 9: Add green parts of scallions. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. 10: Plate and serve!View original recipe
