Chinese Curry Puffs

Flaky savory Chinese curry puffs filled with a delicious curried beef and lamb mixture, wrapped in puff pastry. The recipe yields 12 puffs that are easy to make and are incredibly addicting.

What you need

tsp cayenne

tbsp water

tsp turmeric powder

tbsp curry powder

yellow onion

pepper
egg

lb ground beef

cup beef broth

lb ground lamb

clove garlic

tsp salt
tbsp cornstarch

tsp cumin powder
Instructions
1: In a pan over med-high heat, heat a couple tbsp of oil, then add garlic and onions and cook until translucent. 2: Add beef and lamb. Cook until opaque, then add spices and mix until combined. 3: Add cornstarch and beef broth slurry and cook for another minute until it’s thick. 4: Remove and set aside to cool to room temp. Meanwhile, defrost puff pastry if frozen. 5: Cut puff pastry into squares ~5”x5”. Place ~1 tbsp of beef onto center of pastry, then form into triangle and use edge of fork to crimp edges. Place onto lined baking sheet. Repeat with remaining pastry and beef. 6: Place formed curry puffs into fridge while you preheat oven to 425. 7: Once the oven is preheated, brush puffs with egg wash and bake for 12-15 mins or until golden brown.View original recipe
