What you need

tbsp honey

tbsp milk

tsp instant yeast

tsp salt

egg

cup unsalted butter

cup bread flour
egg

beef hot dogs
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, combine milk, honey, and yeast. Stir to partially dissolve 2. In the same bowl, add in flour and salt. Kneed until the dough comes together 3. Incorporate butter. Kneed by hand or using stand mixer until dough is smooth and elastic. About 10mins by hand, 5mins with a stand mixer 4. Place dough into a lightly greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled in size (~1-2hrs) 5. If your hotdogs are not fully cooked, use this time to cook them. Make sure they are fully cooled before moving to step 8 6. Deflate dough and separate into 10 sections 7. Roll each section into a ball and let sit for 15mins 8. Using a rolling pin, flatten each ball into a long oval ~7ā long and ~4ā wide 9. Using a pizza cutter (or even a sharp knife) slice the inner part lengthwise about 6-7 times depending on how wide your dough is 10. Place the hotdogs perpendicular to the dough and roll. Once done, place onto a baking pan that has been lined with parchment paper. I used 2 pans 11. Lightly cover the hotdogs with plastic wrap and let rise for 30mins to 1hr until noticeably puffy 12. Preheat oven to 350 and place oven racks in upper and lower thirds of your oven. Meanwhile, mix 1 egg with 1 tbsp of milk and gently brush the dogs. Then sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired 13. Bake for 18-20 mins, making sure to rotate and change rack positions at the 10min mark to ensure even doneness and color development 14. The dogs should be slightly golden brown. Let cool and enjoy!View original recipe
